A surprising discovery in Palghar’s electoral roll has led to an investigation. The name of a 39-year-old voter appeared a staggering six times! This duplication, initially highlighted on social media by activists, prompted Collector Indu Jakhar to launch an immediate inquiry.

The investigation revealed a simple, yet significant, mistake. The voter inadvertently submitted Form No. 6 multiple times online, resulting in the multiple entries. This highlights a vulnerability in the online voter registration system.

In response to this incident, the district administration is taking proactive steps to prevent similar occurrences.
