Tragedy Strikes Uttam Sugar Mill: Three Workers Dead After Effluent Tank Accident

Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh: A devastating accident at the Uttam Sugar Mill in Barkatpur, Bijnor, has claimed the lives of three workers.

Muneshwar Singh, a supervisor, and two factory workers, Kapil Dev and Sopal Singh, tragically perished after inhaling poisonous gases within the sugar mill’s effluent treatment plant. The men were cleaning the tank when the incident occurred.

Another worker, Prabhat Kumar, sustained serious injuries while attempting a rescue. He is currently receiving medical treatment. The incident has sparked outrage and accusations of serious safety negligence against the Uttam Sugar Mill management.
