Government Clears Over ₹150 Crore in Backlogged Gram Panchayat Bills!

In a significant move to improve rural governance and financial transparency, the government recently cleared a massive backlog of Gram Panchayat bills. A single day saw the processing of a staggering 9,990 pending bills, totaling over ₹153 crore. This substantial injection of funds is expected to have a positive ripple effect on numerous village-level development projects.

The initiative didn’t stop there. An additional ₹85 crore was also released under the State Disaster Fund (SDF), further demonstrating a commitment to supporting rural communities and bolstering their resilience. This combined release of over ₹238 crore signifies a major step towards efficient financial management and timely implementation of essential development schemes at the grassroots level.

This decisive action is being hailed as a positive development, promising to alleviate financial pressures on Gram Panchayats and accelerate progress on crucial projects within villages across the region.
